The music ceased when she noticed me. She turned in one sweeping motion, throwing her cosmic skirts into a flurry of motion and color. I ran around the flame to catch up to her. I grabbed her arm to halt her. She looked down at my hand as if the fact that I touched her was a miracle. " Will I ever see you again?" I asked breathlessly. " I don't know," she whispered "but just in case...." She pushed my chest hard enough to make me fall down. "If I never seen you again...." She knelt beside me, and just as I felt rose-soft lips on mine, my eyes opened. The world around me crumbled to darkness as the dream shattered.
I found myself on my bedroom floor. Her majestic figure haunted my sleep nightly. Her dark chocolate hair flowing as if the wind were water. Her gold and silver eyes.... I was almost sure they would prove my undoing. There were nights when she was upset, sad or otherwise, I could never be certain. Sometimes, I would watch her do battle. Else, she might be sleeping next to me and wake in terror.
I never controlled myself in my dreams, almost as if my actions were preordained. I asked my father if he thought it might be significant, but he told me they were just dreams. Yet, they always felt like more than that.
So when I met Alex, I knew it was fate. Even Niran saw me with a new light in his eyes.
